Kirsten Orloff, MD is a board-certified Pediatric Intensivist at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center and holds an appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at Tufts University School of Medicine. She graduated from Dartmouth College in 2010 with a degree in Chemistry and received her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in 2014. She completed her pediatric and chief pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center in 2018, where she nurtured her interest in health equity training in the Community Health Track. She then completed her fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Duke University Hospital in 2021.

Dr. Orloff joined the MMC PICU thereafter and is delighted to work with an incredible team and live near her family and close friends. She is passionate about medical education and was honored to receive the “Rookie of the Year” award by the Pediatric Residency program in 2022. She serves as the PICU Rotation Director for all rotating students and residents. Dr. Orloff is excited to join the Pediatric Simulation team and grow simulation education within the PICU and in the community to improve the care of critically ill children across the state of Maine.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring trails and beaches, cooking, and skiing with her husband and wild young children.
