Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Dina McKelvy received her BA degree from the College of the Holy Cross, her Master’s degree in English from Northwestern University and her Master’s degree in Library Science from Indiana University.

Dina joined Maine Medical Center Library in 2006 and became the Director of Library & Knowledge Services in 2017. In 2019 Dina joined the faculty of Tufts University School of Medicine as Assistant Professor.

Dina has served as Chair of the North Atlantic Health Sciences Libraries Association (NAHSL) and received the NAHSL Achievement Award in 2019. She is a Fellow of the National Library of Medicine’s Biomedical Informatics program, and has a certificate in Medical Informatics from Drexel University.

Dina has an active interest in the medical humanities and participated in Columbia University’s Narrative Medicine workshop in 2019. She currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Maine Medical Center.
